FAQ & MOQ
Everything you need to know about partnering with Makeup Palette Pro.
Private Label Ordering Process
Can I mix different shade combinations within the 50 unit MOQ? +
For our Private Label service, the 50 unit MOQ applies to one specific shade layout (e.g., 50 units of the exact same 9-pan color story). This ensures automation efficiency on our pressing lines. If you need multiple different color stories, each combination requires its own 50 unit minimum.
What file formats do you accept for logo printing? +
To ensure the highest precision for Hot-Stamping or UV printing, we require vector files such as .AI, .EPS, or high-resolution .PDFs. Please ensure all fonts are outlined before submitting.
Can I change my shade selection after confirming the design? +
Once you sign off on the digital mockup and pay the deposit, your order immediately enters the production schedule and shades cannot be altered. We highly recommend purchasing a Sample Kit to verify physical colors before confirming bulk orders.
Do you offer barcode (UPC/EAN) printing services? +
Yes. If you have registered barcodes, we can print them directly onto the packaging or apply them as stickers. Please mention this to your account manager during the mockup phase.
Are there discounts for first-time private label orders? +
Our 50 MOQ is designed to be an accessible, highly competitive entry point for new brands. While we don't discount the initial 50-unit run, we offer volume-based tiered pricing once your single order quantity exceeds 500 units.
Custom Eyeshadow Manufacturing
What is the lead time for a custom injection mold? +
Developing a brand-new plastic injection mold typically takes 30-45 days. This includes 3D drawing approval, steel mold tooling, and T1 sample testing. Full bespoke projects requiring custom molds usually require an MOQ of 10,000+ units.
Are there any design limitations for custom paper palettes? +
Custom cardboard palettes (MOQ 500) offer immense flexibility, supporting matte/gloss lamination, soft-touch films, spot UV, embossing, and full CMYK printing. The only limitation is extreme structural complexity, which might affect mass-production stability and alignment.
What specialized powder pressing technologies do you offer? +
We utilize advanced Dry Pressing, Wet-Process Slurry (for high-impact foils), and Baked Technology (for luminous, domed powders). The chosen technology directly influences the color payoff and texture.
How do you ensure color consistency in mass production? +
We use X-Rite spectrophotometers for digital color deviation testing, ensuring that bulk production matches your approved lab sample with a strict Delta E < 1.5 industry tolerance.
Can I supply my own packaging for you to fill? +
Yes. However, you must ship packaging samples to our lab first. We need to conduct Compatibility Testing and ensure our pressing molds perfectly align with your empty pans before accepting the bulk packaging components.
Custom Formula Development
How do your "talc-free" formulas maintain smooth blendability? +
We engineer our talc-free formulas using surface-treated Mica and high-purity synthetic fluorphlogopite, paired with plant-derived emollients like Squalane. This ensures a buttery, easily blendable texture without the use of talcum powder.
Can you formulate according to specific ingredient blacklists (Clean Beauty)? +
Absolutely. Our lab can custom-engineer formulas to comply with stringent retail standards such as 'Sephora Clean', 'Credo Beauty', or Whole Foods requirements, eliminating specific parabens, silicones, or synthetic dyes.
What does your formula stability testing include? +
Standard OEM R&D testing includes a 3-month accelerated stability test, freeze-thaw cycling, microbial challenge testing, and packaging compatibility assessments to ensure a safe, stable shelf life.
Can you shade-match from a photograph or reference sample? +
Yes, our chemists excel at shade-matching. However, physical reference samples are strictly required for accurate matching. Photographs are unreliable due to variations in screen calibration and lighting.
Do you provide MSDS and COA for regulatory compliance? +
Yes. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) accompanies every bulk production batch. For export and retail compliance, we provide GHS-compliant Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and accurate INCI ingredient lists.
After-Sale Services
What happens if palettes arrive with broken powders? +
Pressed powders are inherently fragile, but we mitigate this by using 5-ply corrugated cartons and EPE foam packaging. If transit damage occurs, please report it with photos within 48 hours of receipt. We will assess the damage ratio and issue proportional replacements or credits.
How do you handle discrepancies in logo printing? +
If the final product significantly deviates from the signed digital mockup (e.g., incorrect color or misalignment > 1mm), we take full responsibility for remaking the goods or refunding. Micro-tolerances standard to the printing industry do apply.
Do you offer split shipments to multiple locations? +
Yes. We can split your bulk order and ship to various global warehouses or fulfillment centers to align with your marketing campaigns. Additional logistics and warehousing fees will be calculated accordingly.
Are lead times and prices different for re-orders? +
Re-order lead times are typically 20% faster since the artwork and molds are already prepared. We guarantee price stability for 12 months, barring any severe fluctuations in global raw material costs.
Do you provide product photography or marketing materials? +
As a value-added service for our bulk production clients, we can provide high-resolution, white-background e-commerce shots and ingredient highlight documents to help you launch presales before the cargo arrives.
